I was finally able to find mom's password for her favorite blog. Cici has been in and out of the hospital for multiple ailments the last few months. She was a very tough lady and fought til the end, but we lost her on Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010 at 7:07pm from respiratory failure. She was on DNR, so no actions were taken to put her on life support as she wouldn't want that. She always talked about the ladies she shared patterns and ideas with here and was very proud of her blog and very proud of all of her friends here. I just wanted to thank each and every one of you that helped make my mom's life even fuller. Her normal email for this site is still open for now and will do my best to respond to all messages.
thank you all so very much,
Viking and Chuck

Oh dear, I am completely taken by surprise, I did not know your Mom was so sick. This will certainly devastate the blogging world, Your Mom has over 340 people that love to visit her and see what she has going on. We are a tight knit community and this will send many ripples through it. My son calls my online friends my invisible friends, but we are always here for each other in good times and bad! Thank you so much for this post for now we know. My sympathies to you and your families.

Dear Chuck and Viking
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for emailing me to let me know the sad news. And apologies for being late posting here - I was just so shocked that I didn't know what to say!
Everyone who knew CC loved her, and she will be sadly missed. Saturdays just won't be the same without her! I won her last giveaway (the muffin stand - you posted it for her) and have a sackful of goodies sitting here that I was going to send... she'd have been so happy and excited to receive a parcel from the UK. I just wish I'd sent it straight away, instead of holding back to add just one more thing, and then one more...
God bless you and keep you both and help you through this awful time. Stay strong. I know CC's looking down on you and smiling!
All my love, Susie
Dear Chuck and Viking, my thoughts and prayers are with you and yours. You have an angel looking over you.

My condolences to you and your family. Many times I have stopped by for a visit but never took the time to be a follower. Isn't that always the truth...too busy....too late to do what you wanted to do. So I am becoming a follower today in honor of her memory. She has written above her "to post a comment" that the messages left there make each day a happy dance day. May everyday be a happy dance day.
