This is Cici's son Chuck and her long time boyfriend Viking

I was finally able to find mom's password for her favorite blog. Cici has been in and out of the hospital for multiple ailments the last few months. She was a very tough lady and fought til the end, but we lost her on Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010 at 7:07pm from respiratory failure. She was on DNR, so no actions were taken to put her on life support as she wouldn't want that. She always talked about the ladies she shared patterns and ideas with here and was very proud of her blog and very proud of all of her friends here. I just wanted to thank each and every one of you that helped make my mom's life even fuller. Her normal email for this site is still open for now and will do my best to respond to all messages.

thank you all so very much,

      Viking and Chuck

  1. Oh dear, I am completely taken by surprise, I did not know your Mom was so sick. This will certainly devastate the blogging world, Your Mom has over 340 people that love to visit her and see what she has going on. We are a tight knit community and this will send many ripples through it. My son calls my online friends my invisible friends, but we are always here for each other in good times and bad! Thank you so much for this post for now we know. My sympathies to you and your families.

  4. OMG, Viking and Chuck, I am so sorry about CC. I am crying so badly now. I been looking for answer and am so lost without CC. Please tell me this is not true.

CC promised she will be back after one week. She is my very very best friend and gave me lots of inspiration. Even though I did not meet CC, we just hit it off and it seems like she is living next door to me.

CC........please rest in peace and you are just taking the early bus to join Patwid. I love you so much and will miss you so terribly.

  12. I wept when I received your e-mail last night. Thank you so much for honoring CiCi by letting us all know. Not a day has gone by since I last had any word that I haven't wondered how she was and prayed for all of you. CiCi loving heart and kind spirit touched all of us.

I host a blogging event, Pink Saturday, on my blog each Saturday. CiCi began participating in September 2008, and she participated almost every Saturday. We all loved her. I will post a link here this Saturday so that everyone will know.

She loved you well, and her kind heart will live on in you. I will be holding you close in my heart and prayers.

She was one of my special blogging friends and I sent her several cards and sun bonnet sue things. I just cannot believe she is gone. My deepest sympathy to you and family. May you find comfort and peace knowing there are others who care and miss her so much.

  32. My goodness....I am at a loss for words....truly. CC was one of the first friends I made when I started my blog....I have missed her so very much over the past few months...I can hardly believe this.

CC participated in a weekly blog event each and every week and contributed each week....Vintage Thingies Thursday....I always looked forward to her post and of course Sunbonnet Sue. I know I will never see a Sunbonnet Sue that I don't think of CC from now on....I am just crushed.....she was very well loved in our group!

Next Thursday, I will dedicate that week to CC and her contributions to VTT over the past couple of years....my sweet friend will be so very missed!

I pray for you and your family during this tough time, we all have to deal with this loss somehow.....

  53. Dear Chuck and Viking

Thank you so much for emailing me to let me know the sad news. And apologies for being late posting here - I was just so shocked that I didn't know what to say!

Everyone who knew CC loved her, and she will be sadly missed. Saturdays just won't be the same without her! I won her last giveaway (the muffin stand - you posted it for her) and have a sackful of goodies sitting here that I was going to send... she'd have been so happy and excited to receive a parcel from the UK. I just wish I'd sent it straight away, instead of holding back to add just one more thing, and then one more...

God bless you and keep you both and help you through this awful time. Stay strong. I know CC's looking down on you and smiling!

    All my love, Susie
