Apron Giveaway .... Vogart Patterns.. Vintage Things Thursday ....Follow Friday ....and also ....Follow Friday at Trendy Treehouse
This is also a Friday Follow..
I am also using this post for Follow Friday at Trendy Treehouse. Follow Fridays are ever so much fun,but it slipped up on me this week..so I'm using my Thursday post again. Which might be a good thing..because I'm having an apron giveaway. All you have to do to enter is to leave a comment, that's one entry. Join me as a follower, leave another comment telling me you are following..or if you're already a follower, let me know with a comment..and that's another entry. Just as simple as that. If you would like, take my button and post about my giveaway..I'll enter you again. As simple as that..now,let's go visiting...
For this Vintage Things..I offer some Vogart patterns. I don't seem to have as many of them as I do Aunt Martha, and I don't know why that is. They're beautiful patterns..and stamp off so well, maybe I just don't come across them too often.
I'm not sure of the age of them, just that they were in a large lot of patterns I bought.I've looked for a date, but have been unable to find one. If these are not vintage,I apologize...
I think I like the patterns in the blue package the best..there are some tiny birds on the pillowcase stamps, and I really like those. I wish that embroidery went faster, there are so many things I want to make, and not nearly enough time.
Also, before I forget...I'm having another apron giveaway. I've had so much fun with them..I thought I would do another. I will post the apron on my Pink Saturday post, but the give away starts now. It's the usual...if you follow me or already a follower..that's one entry..(be sure and tell me in a comment so I can enter you again,) and when you leave a comment..that's one entry. My giveaways are very simple..I am a simple woman. :).The giveaway starts now and will run through this Saturday to the end of next Saturday night. I will have my husband draw the name then and post the winner..Good luck to everyone that loves aprons..

ReplyDeleteI don't know how to date transfer patterns. I wonder whether there is a dating guide on the Internet.
ReplyDeleteI was just telling my friend today that I needed to start doing some embroidery again. Seeing these patterns just reinforced that idea! I'll let you know how it goes!!
ReplyDeleteJane
Lovely! The lady in blue reminds me of Princess Aurora from Sleeping Beauty. I can't imagine having the patience to embroider like this though. I admire those who can do it! Happy VTT to you!
ReplyDeleteThe embroidery patterns look lovely. I just love hand work- It makes things so personal and special. And I'd love to enter your apron contest!
ReplyDeleteI have never seen the Vogart packages for these embroidery transfers before, although some of the designs look vaguely familiar. I sure do like them all! And apron giveaway? Please include me!

I wish I could do, had the time, for embroidery. Sometimes I run across little tea towels that were done and I just love them... little birdies. so sweet :)
ReplyDeleteHappy VTT
Tracy
I know exactly what you mean when you say you wish there was more time to embroider. There is so much I wish I could find time to do. My grandma embroidered a set of pillow cases for each of her numerous grandchildren in her later years. When did she find the time? She was always so busy. I printed off your instructions on how to make fabric roses. Maybe I'll find time for that. I've been a follower for some time. I love aprons.
ReplyDeleteThe pattern of the girl in the blue dress makes me think of a princess!
ReplyDeleteWhat great vintage patterns! I am quite sure that they are vintage, because I believe the current thought is anything over 20 years old is considered vintage. At any rate, your patterns are just great! First time on your blog and I will come back to visit again.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Susan and Bentley

I have too few of these too, in fact...I think only one. They MUST be vintage.

My mother embroiders all the time while watching TV. I know everyone does that, so there is your 'time'. I crochet while watching TV. Very relaxing.
