This little pincushion was made for our pincushion challenge on suestreehouse....an area we created in honor of Sunbonnet Sue.
While possibly the easiest pincushion ever....I wish now I had stuffed the pincushion portion instead of using a styrofoam ball. It does look cute and is still my favorite pincushion to display....it doesn't work very well.
It started out as a very inexpensive candle....I removed the candle, filled the glass container with potpourri, covered the styrofoam ball with pink checked quilted gingham....added lace around the edges, some tiny gingham flowers, added a straw and was all done.
Now, I view all small containers with a crafters eye, searching for the next "perfect" pincushion....next time, it will be stuffed..
