What an amazing collection of Apron
ReplyDeletepatterns! Love the #7751, probably
the oldest pattern, so retro!
What wonderful patterns and I can not believe they are just like new....love them. I found a pattern for aprons at an estate sale, but it was not nearly this vintage.
ReplyDeleteOOOOOOHHH i love your apron patterns especially the last one...it's sssooo OOOH-LA-LA :)
ReplyDeleteI love aprons! The pattern drawings remind me of the patterns my mother used when I was a schoolgirl in the 60s! You have a great collection.
ReplyDeleteI love the patterns.. and great collection.. too! have a good day & thanks for sharing..
ReplyDeleteWhat a great representation of aprons through the ages.
ReplyDeleteI'm always on the hunt for apron patterns. I have Simplicity's 3702 as well. Why didn't they put dates on their patterns back then? Great collection.
ReplyDeleteAre you going to make any? Thanks for sharing. Happy Vintage Thingy Thursday. Here's mine: http://smilingsally.blogspot.com/2009/03/grandpas-needle-and-safety-pin.html
ReplyDeleteLove your collection of apron patterns...its fashion, its graphics, its just wonderful.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful patterns..you have a really nice collection!
ReplyDeleteGreat collection you have - it sure shows how style changes, or comes back, even!
ReplyDeleteMy mom loved to sew and she had loads of these vintage patterns. Not just aprons though. These are great!
ReplyDeleteIt's so hard to think of the 80's and 90's as vintage because, to me, that was just "yesterday"! But you've got yourself some nice patters there - I hope we get to see the ones you make!
ReplyDeleteI love this post! I can remember seeing some of those in my mothers sewing area.
ReplyDeleteIf I ever get through all of my junque to my pattern boxes, I will check to see if I have any that you don't have. If so, I will send them to you! Adding you to my reader so that I can find you again!!
ReplyDeleteLove your patterns. Those are great. Nice collection Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThose are so cute - how many aprons will you end up making?
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure how many aprons I will make..I have one cut out that's a very old pattern and am just starting it. I've collected aprons for a couple of years now..mostely the chicken scratch/gingham stitch ones...I just love aprons..both to display and to wear..and I love and collect apron patterns as well. Somewhere, in one of my storage boxes, I have 2 that are very very old..I just have to find them again. :). I just hate to cut a vintage pattern.
ReplyDeleteThose are so pretty! My aunt used to wear one similar to the 67, I remember her hanging out her laundry wearing one.
ReplyDeleteDo you actually make the aprons or do you simply enjoy collecting the patterns? I guess you can't make every one of them..
I love the one that includes "man chefs" in the patterns! And that only one! Funny, to me. I really like the first one, too. All are great, though, and do represent the times accurately, making them fun to look at in that perspective.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing and for stopping by.
