Superior #183 Sunbonnet Sue Redwork/Hand Embroidery .... Vintage Things Thursday

Yessssssssssssss!!!!!!!! It's my favorite day and party again..it's Vintage Things Thursday...
Suzanne may be gone for the day, but just look at all the pretty kitchen things she left for us to see...I would love to find some of those crocheted potholders..
I'll keep looking, eventually good things come to us that are patient..my problem is..oh!!!, I dislike the wait.*smiles
To see all the vintage pretties, just click onto the best party in town......
Suzanne's site ColoradoLady Come join in the fun!!!!!!!!!!!!! My apologies to some of last weeks participants... I had fallen a few days before, and it was so hard for me to sit for very long at a time. It's a bit easier now..and I will get to everyone this week. Again, to everyone I didn't get to visit..my deepest apologies..and I send you a hug..
We find our girl Sunbonnet Sue, getting the house all ready for the Vintage Things Thursday Party. The house is all sparkling and clean..the windows are open, letting in the early morning cool fresh air. The refreshments are all laid out on the table..
my !!!! There is so much... Sue's mother and grandmother..and her aunties have come to help with the party, and they are some of the best cooks in the county. They pride themselves on their pies and cakes..but just that good home cookin is good enough for the Sunday preacher even if the party is on a Thursday. Please help yourself to the food...the tables are set on the back screened-in porch..and the ceiling fan is on to cool you off some. That sweet tea and lemonade will help with the cool down as well. After we have our lunch...we can go visiting to see all the treasures that everyone is showing...but don't forget..the dessert table over there.Yummmmmmm
So hurry Sue, and sweep the front porch..the ladies will be arriving soon..

  1. Sue looks like me this past weekend- hostessing the Memorial Day party, sweeping down my front stairs- I even wore a pretty dress for the occasion (although I was without a sunbonnet!) Her lantern, potted plant and welcome mat all look just like my front steps as well, I think that's pretty neat! Happy VTT and thanks for sharing today. :)

  8. I just did that yesterday, swept the front. I see little ladies around town out sweeping their sidewalks--love that. Sweet Sue is adorable today.

  13. I love all the old sunbopnnet sue designs! A few years ago I did a quilt swap with some friends and I appliqued several sunbonnet blocks to give to two of the particiipants. It was so much fun. I will have top post pics of those one of these days.. I did not use a pattern, but came up with my own ideas.
