Happy Pinks to everyone....To join the pinky participants in the pretty pink party..click on HowSweetTheSound. Let's go see what pretty things we can find..all in pink of course..
I warn you..the above pictures are repeats..!!!!!
These are 3 of my favorite mini aprons in quite a collection of every kind of apron, from vintage feed sack, bib aprons, half aprons, embroidered, pieced, quilt blocks, Sunbonnet Sues, crocheted, chicken scratched, gingham stitched, bottle aprons.... if it's an apron and I see it..I feel that it wants to come home with me.
And, most of them do...
I thought, since I can't do much,to sit and go throughmy collection to see how many I had...but after awhile I gave up unfolding, looking and refolding and re-placing..
my husband, seeing the mess and hoping for progress in a massive clearing out, then suggested that if I was tired of looking at aprons, perhaps I could go through and perhaps pare the hankie collection down. And truth to tell, it seemed like a good idea..*sighs. I admired, refolded and put them back in their storage. Yet again, enters himself..,looks about, offers to replace the boxes...and suggests I move on to perhaps crochet books..etc. By now, I like him less than an hour before and try not to suggest that he might be better off in another area, he brings in a large box of patterns..and then says, when you finish here, then you can get into the Sunbonnet Sue patterns. I froze him in his tracks with a look,I mean,..Sue's not going anywhere..(Do in England and I have made a vow..We both love Sue and all her little friends and we both have more fabric than is normal for any one person.., and so we've decided that whichever of us goes first..the other gets all the stuff.)
* I digress and lost my whole thought train, which after a pain pill, I'm not at my best anyway. Soooooooo, mine husnand has patiently,God love him, helped me with it all, has patted me on the head and hugged me..in my favor,I haven't bitten him..:), and am now being told,I've been on the computer enough for awhile. Hence, there is the reason for the repeat of the above apron post.. I promise to do better next week... Happy Pinks to everyone..
A p.s. I have been making selections for the give away..I just have to get pictures, choose more things and get them posted. I'm trying my best..hugs to everyone..

Oh bless you! I loved this post. It is wonderful and I think we all get 'it'. Those boys! Mine at least has his one collection - he still has pieces of atari computer games from the 1980s - so he has to back off unless I get to 'clean out' his stuff!
ReplyDeleteHope the pain killer does its magic and you are feeling better soon-

Men just do not always understand us ladies and our other loves. I had not seen your aprons before, or if I did my senior moment kicked in. You really have a great collection. Glad you liked your little surprise.

CC! You are so funny! I am sorting too and I have no pain pills to help me with the project. I just can't bear to give any of my aprons and hankies away.
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday. Don't forget to send me your address!
I get that 'you've been on the computer long enough' all the time! Our husbands are really just attention-seekers, 5 going on 58 in Peter's case, lol. You did so well not to bite, or pull hair, or throw coffee...
ReplyDeleteI'm not doing PS this week... I over-reached (literally) and have wrenched my back, so am just not up to blog hopping right this minute (only had 5 doors left to 2nd coat with paint, as well). I must say I am pretty cross with myself - I should have been more careful.
I'm wishing you a very Happy & Sparkly Pink Saturday!

Dear, sweet, CC. I hope you know that we all adore you. Please don't be too harsh a judge of yourself. Pain is not easy. I wish I could make the healing rapid for you. Take car of yourself.

I adore LaVoice, too. She is an incredible person, and we can all learn by her example of grace.
