Yayyyyyy....................... More Pyrex .... Shenandoah Pattern

We're back to my favorite day again..Vintage Things Thursday. I love visiting around and looking at all the pretty things everyone has. Come join in the fun... click on ColoradoLady and follow the vintage brick road. Make sure you stop to look at all the vintage pretties, and make double sure to leave a comment, so everyone knows you've been there.
Monday, whilst out and about...I decided to check a Goodwill store to see if they had anything good..it's a larger store and I was hoping for something kinda good.
*sighs... I found a few patterns, an older Hallmark box of greeting cards, and it had so many extras, the top didn't fit down..a couple of aprons and a few vintage cookbooks.. nothing great...
But before going home, I stopped at a smaller one and did what I always do. I go straight for the dishes, next the shadow boxes, next apron searching...and next patterns. Going down the third little glassware aisle, I saw it..yessssssss!!
Pyrex...and a pattern that I hadn't seen. It's a sweet little 1.5 quart casserole dish with it's cover, is a soft yellow with a brighter green pattern. When I finally found some information on it..it stated that..."the pattern has daisy like flowers on trailing stems with smaller flowers". "It's green on yellow covered casserole dish in the Shenandoah pattern". This is one of a set of three..hmmmmm, I wonder where the other pieces are. I'll settle for one,if I have to, till I can find some matching pieces...p.s. The infoe said this pattern is 70's...It gives me another pattern to search for.

  16. This is quite old. I'm 57 and I remember my grandma having a set of these when I was young. So I would think somewhere in the late 50's or early 60's. There is probably somewhere on the internet that would tell you when they were manufactures.

  23. What a find! I love Pyrex dishes too. It's so hard for me to pass any of them up. My husband knocked two of my Corelle cups out of the cabinet last week and broke them. (As a matter of fact, some of the slivers went into the dishwasher that I was emptying and punctured the water pump!) But, now I have a reason to go to thrift stores and yard sales again. I'm on the hunt for cup replacements. (We've already replaced the dishwasher.) Hope I don't come home from those thrift stores with too much Pyrex.

  24. I haven't seen this pattern either!! It is pretty. I like to go to Goodwill too. The one I've always gone too changed the whole store around, (I hate that when grocery stores do it too!) Since then, I swear I don't find near the good stuff and they have raised their prices!. Maybe they got someone in the back that thinks everything is worth more! I think I'll try another GW store.
