Hi everyone...it's that time of week again,when everything gets a sweet,warm,rosy glow..it's the color pink time again. Thank you to our fantastic hostess Beverly,for gathering all us pinkies together again, for a day of visiting,tea parties..stops for a coffee and pastry along the way. You will meet so many lovely,sweet people and see so many treasures..so let's go visiting. Simply click on
HowSweetTheSound and you will be taken to all the pink pretties. I hope you enjoy this as much as I do..
Now..let's go visiting....
Today my offerings are some sweet patterns that I want so badly to get started on.
It's not easy to work on a project, I put in some long hours at my store...ummmmmm,
but that's not the only reason for my not crafting.
Simply put !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm,
I have too much stuff.I have so much stuff,that I don't know where to begin. You see, I either need a bigger craft area,somehow..more room squeezed in..
or!!!!!
I need to stop buying stuff. My husband will be so proud of me for saying that. It probably won't happen,but still,it's a good idea.
Now...back to the Sunbonnet Sue and friends patterns. They are the sweetest patterns, and can be appliqued,embroidered, painted,colored,woodburned,needle punched...they're just great bunches of patterns.
Book #1 is
Sunbonnet Iron On Transfers
Designs by:: Barbara Price
and published by The House of White Birches in 1997
It has 112 pages and is a wonderful book of patterns. Little Sue and friends are mostly dressed as they are on the cover. Very simple and easy to applique outfits.The rating for this pattern book would be..as many stars as possible. If you like our girl Sue, you will love this one.
Book #2...
is Sunbonnet Sweatshirts
Designs by:: Barbara Price
and published by: The House of White Birches in 1996
It has 20 pages of patterns and includes an embroidery stitching chart in the very back. The rating for this little book would be high also, there are many sweet patterns to applique,embroidery,paint,color,woodburn..needlepunch..it's a book of many sweet patterns.
Pattern #1 is...
a 2009 McCall's Craft Pattern...
Little pattern is filled with yummies to make. So many cakes and pastries..yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Now all I have to do is give myself a pep talk,and begin choosing the fabric fot the projects. And therein lies yet another super pitfall. Apparently,I have so much fabric,that I can't make a decision.
I must confess and stand before you to say..
I am addicted to fabric. I want all the fabric I see. But that's another story for another time.
I hope you like my selection for a Pink Saturday post. I seem to be running low on the color..so,I'm grasping at straws for pink here.

ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday.
I have always loved Sunboonet Sue & her friend Sam but I knew i would never take the time to make the appliques myself so I found a set of vintage blocks on eBay & now I just have to put them together in a quilt & I will have my own Sunbonnet Sue! Your post is all so spring-like but I can't get there yet!

ReplyDeletethanks so much for stopping by my blog the other day & leaving a comment! you enjoy genealogy, too?! someday we just might find that we're related somewhere down the line... so many of our interests are the same!!! one thing that i chuckled about on your profile is that you don't do well to sit thru movies, either. (o: am still using dial-up here at home (grrrr!) but what i was able to see of your blog looks like so much FUN!! i am such a big fan of sunbonnet sue. cc -- i think i called you 'sue' in one of the comments i just left (i thought of it as your first name when i saw "sue's kitchen"). i apologize if that's not your name! it will be 'cc' from now on! (o: have a great day.
