Vintage Tiny Aprons .... Vintage Things Thursday

It's that fantastic day of the week again..Vintage Things Thursday. I so enjoy this time of looking at everyone's pretty things..and the older, the better.Click on the button on the right sidebar to take you to the vintage things..Suzanne at Colorado Lady is so sweet as to host this wonderful day for us. Unfortunatly,my computer (or it's operator) has been unable to get a link there,so I just moved the button to my sidebar in easy reach,to take you back to her blog. I apologize..I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
I've also had problems trying to load pictures..*sighs here. So, forget my little problems, click on Vintage Things Thursday button to take you straight there...See you there..

I haven't been able to get out and about to see what all I can find in the thrift/antique shops. And (*sobs here),I really miss it. I so love looking through the shops just waiting for something to say .."Take me home with you".

This is a little bottle apron...I have several of these, made "back in the day"..and can only show the one. I remember these little bottle aprons being used, but can't remember for sure the time perion. Whenever they were popular,I still love them today. I don't use them, but I'm trying to think of a cute way to display them.
The little green one is so pretty with the combination of flowers and lace...

This sweet little apron is one of the smallest ones. What is it's use?? I have no idea, but I loved it and the others following. Especially I love the longer white one. It's so pretty and crisp when it was washed and ironed. I think it has to be my favorite. What is it's use?? Again,I have no idea, but I love it and will think of someway to display it.

Mini Tea Set, Vintage Pyrex, ...... Vintage Things Thursday

It's that special time of the week again..Vintage Things Thursday. I love this day of the week and I love most all things vintage and have tried to rescue as many vintage things as I can. Soon, I have to show some aprons I found..but that's for another day. :).
To see more wonderful vintage things, click on the button on the top right sidebar.
I absolutely can't get the link to work for me...My apologies if I've caused anyone a delay ..I just can't get it to work.

This was found at the local Goodwill store and I thought I did well on this trip.I don't know how old this little tea set is, but it looks and "feels" vintage. The colors are a soft, soft green and cream. I love the colors. Sure wish I had teacups and saucers to go along with it, but I'll be happy with it just as is. I can always be on the lookout for little cups and saucers the same time I

will be looking all over for a lid to fit this $5.00 beauty. Ohhhhh, look what I found. It's Pyrex love....I do so love the older Pyrex, the colors and the patterns. My collection of Pyrex is of no certain pattern..it's a kind of see it and I want it kind of thing. I tried to find the name of this pattern..with no luck. I will just have to dig about a bit more. It's a 2 1/2 quart casserole..and this piece I will actually use.
I also wanted to take time to send out love and hugs to all the "Vintage Thursday"
bloggers..and to wish each one a very Merry Christmas. May it be filled with love and many blessings..and my Christmas wish is for each of us to be surrounded with love from our family and friends.
Merry Christmas..

So happy Pinks everyone..I can't wait to scamper about to the different sites to see all the gorgeous pinks. I am having some problems being able to link and to get all my pictures loaded. For some reason, the area where I post seems to have changed...and I'm at a loss as to how to fix anything..so, till I do..you will find the link to Beverly just to your right at the top of my sidebar. I have finally given up trying to get it linked here..
There is one more pink I wanted to show Santa on my wish list, but I can't get the photo to load...but I can describe it..it's enamel ware in pink Mossberg Rose pattern. It's simply the most gorgeous cookware ever..I love, love, love it. Ordinarily,I would'nt ask Santa for cookware..but this is so pretty,I would cook without complaining..ever again. So Santa, look long and hard at this list...oooo,I want it all.
Now..everyone, click on the Pink Saturday button to the right on my sidebar..go see what everyone has for Pink Day..Thanks again Beverly for hosting us all and making each of us feel loved and special. You are the best helper Santa has..and we love you.

Ahhhhhh, on my wish list for Santa....
There is the ever beautiful Pink Gooseberry pattern on pretty pink Pyrex. I love all Pyrex..I meak all of it..but I think the pink and blue is getting to be almost my favorite. Notice I said almsot..for if it's Pyrex, it's loved at my house.

More lovely Pyrex that I wish Santa would find and bring to me....

and lastly, the most gorgeous Pyrex. Can you believe this is Pyrex?????? This is a pink Pyrex Glass heart pendant on a pink beaded necklace. I almost fell over when I saw this, having never seen a Pyrex necklace before..isn't it beautiful????
Ooooo, I want it...
I wanted to take time to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. I hope it's filled with everyone and everything you love...and happiness settles in your home.

Gingham Apron .... Vintage Things Thursday

It's that lovely day of the week again... Vintage Things Thursday. We're hosted by our own lovely Suzanne at Coloradolady. She always has the coolest things on her blog and as a lover of all things vintage,I really enjoy her blog and the blogs of all the other participants... I'm not able to get my link to Suzanne to work, so I'm going to ask you to get back to her site by clicking on her button on the right sidebar. Eventually,I will figure out why I have such problems. I'm sure it's me and not my computer..this time,it's me at fault.. Happy Vintage Things Thursday..have a wonderful time looking at all the vintage things..I know I will. Thank you Suzanne for hosting us..you're a sweetie.

This is my weeks offerings..I think I shown this little brown and white gingham apron before..but I'm not sure. In any case,it's one of my favorite gingham half aprons..with chicken scratch/gingham stitch embroidery on the pockets and bottom of the apron. I love the stitching pattern and the special stitches...and I hope you do too.
Happy Vintage Things Thursday....and I hope everyone is on schedule for gifts, and shopping. I fear that I am not and will be in that group of last minute shoppers. Each year,I swear to myself it will never happen again..and yet, each year..it's the same.hmmmmmm. Wonder if I should have a severe talk with myself.????

Pink Saturday..

Hmmmmm, she says. With this turn of events, I can't get things loaded as I would like. What to do???? Ok, she will work with what she has...so here we go.
This top photo is the sweet hot pad that was an extra gift in the apron give-away that I won. I couldn't believe it got here so quickly. Sweet Ros must have had Santas elves deliver the package themselves. Isn't this the cutest hotpad ever???? Ros said she made it all from the seldvege edges of fabric and I love it. It's so sweet and dainty..and I will hang it in my kitchen with pride.
The next picture is the apron itself in the apron give-away. Isn't it just so pretty???? I love the way it's made..I love the soft, sweet fabric..I just love everytrhing about it. My favorite saying seems to be.."I never met an apron I didn't like".....if it's an apron,I love it. Specially the soft, well worn ones like my mother and grandmother wore. There are some aprons that somehow, when I touch them..I touch a bit backward in time, back to the soft, gentle easy times of being a child and being in the kitchen as a helper, and mama in her apron baking, cooking or sometimes making her famous yeast raised donuts and or fried pies. Peach and apricot was always my favorites.. See what aprons do to me??? :). It's with joy that I hold aprons close and wear them most days.
The next picture is a little rose cup..with no saucer. I love the pattern..it's Rose Glow, and the CastleCourt company of Japan made the dishes. I would so love to have more pieces with this pretty pattern. The rose on the back side is so dainty and perfect. This was one of my more expensive things that I bought at the thrift store. I also found vintage sewing things..(just a few)..and lace. Bags and bags of lace. But that's for another post. Happy Pink Saturday everyone. I hope you enjoy visiting about as much as I do. Thank you Beverly for being our sweet hostess...we all love you and think you're the greatest. So come on everyone..join in the fun, let's all go visiting all the participants in Pink Saturday and leave so many comments that all the pinkies will smile with happiness.
Click Beverly at HowSweetTheSound and join in the fun... Let's go visiting..

Farm Girl Sunbonnet Sue and Overall Sam Saying Their Prayers

Here we have our little farm girl Sunbonnet Sue...and her very dear friend Overall Sam. They are saying their Sunday morning prayers..just as they always do, and they always make sure to say the nighttime prayer their mothers taught them... You know the one.."Now, I lay me down to sleep"....and even as I type this, I can hear my mothers sweet voice as she said this prayer with my sister and me. Ohh, those sweet memories..how I love and cherish them.
This little pattern can be used on a tea towel, a table runner..a dresser scarf..whatever you choose, Sue and Sam adapt. No matter where you put them, they are adorable. I hope you take the little patterns and use them. I have so many patterns of these little ones, it will take another hundred years to try them all.... I hope you enjoy the little patterns...
