Gingham Apron .... Vintage Things Thursday

It's that lovely day of the week again... Vintage Things Thursday. We're hosted by our own lovely Suzanne at Coloradolady. She always has the coolest things on her blog and as a lover of all things vintage,I really enjoy her blog and the blogs of all the other participants... I'm not able to get my link to Suzanne to work, so I'm going to ask you to get back to her site by clicking on her button on the right sidebar. Eventually,I will figure out why I have such problems. I'm sure it's me and not my computer..this time,it's me at fault.. Happy Vintage Things Thursday..have a wonderful time looking at all the vintage things..I know I will. Thank you Suzanne for hosting us..you're a sweetie.

This is my weeks offerings..I think I shown this little brown and white gingham apron before..but I'm not sure. In any case,it's one of my favorite gingham half aprons..with chicken scratch/gingham stitch embroidery on the pockets and bottom of the apron. I love the stitching pattern and the special stitches...and I hope you do too.
Happy Vintage Things Thursday....and I hope everyone is on schedule for gifts, and shopping. I fear that I am not and will be in that group of last minute shoppers. Each year,I swear to myself it will never happen again..and yet, each year..it's the same.hmmmmmm. Wonder if I should have a severe talk with myself.????

  1. Oh my, the stitching that went into the making of that apron! It's a little piece of art, isn't it? I'd be afraid to wear it, because I'd be sad if I got something on it!
I will be busy with family next Thursday, so I'd like to wish you a very Merry Christmas, CC!
    Happy VTT!

  2. That is nice and looks to be in pristine condition. I like the chicken scratch (didn't know that that was what it was called) - it adds a nice touch.

  4. My daughter has put an apron on her wish list!? I'm hoping I can find a vintage one as pretty as yours.
If you have to have a talk with yourself than I must with me but I'm afraid I'd argue!

  5. Your apron is precious. I haven't seen it before. I like it a lot!

If you are one of the last minute shoppers, I will be right beside you. Some years I am pretty organized, but this wasn't the year. I am just getting started. Ugh!

    Happy holidays! ;-)

  8. Wonderful apron! The stitching was incredible. My mom has a similar apron in red and white gingham. She still wears an apron every time she cooks.

  11. Your apron is so sweetly fresh & country! As for severely talking to yourself, it wouldn't help in my case because I simply cannot figure out what to buy for my DH!

  16. This is the first Christmas in a LONG, LONG time that I have all gifts bought and under the tree. I'm amazed with myself and don't know if it will happen next year - but this year I am proud of myself☺

  20. I love your apron. Do you ever wear it? I'd probably just keep it to look at. Well, last-minute shopping can be fun if you don't have to do too much of it. Hope you find everything you're looking for!
