Counted Cross Stitch Magnets / Ornaments .... Vintage Things Thursday
Jt's that wonderful time of week again..Vintage Things Thursday. So lets all scamper on over to Suzanne
at ColoradoLady
and see what all the participants are showing..
Look what I found in one of my larger boxes of vintage fabrics and trims. I found some of my cross stitch fabric, cross stitch materials..and some of my cross stitch. These are put into tiny frames and used as either Christmas ornaments..or note magnets. The tallest one is 2" high, and they are made on 22 count Hardanger and 14 count Aida cloth. I have 2 more that are unfinished, so I need to get that done..and to clean these. To do more..I will probably have to have a magnifier. I know these aren't "really back in the day", but they're about 15 years old. I hope that's vintage enough..

Oh, these are so cute! The little mice one's are just adorable. Always, handwork is just plain fun to look at. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful job you have done on these. Get them on display!
ReplyDeleteThose are pretty. My favorite is the little girl that looks like sunbonnet sue.
ReplyDeleteThey're delightful..my fav is sunbonnet sue :)
ReplyDeleteYou sure do nice neat stitches. I remember doing some of those and I too would have to use a LARGE magnifing glass to do them now. Boy they do bring back sweet memories.

Very sweet - I don't think my eyes could handle that fine work any more!
ReplyDeleteThese are very cute! I've graduated to a magnifier for my crafts, too!
ReplyDeleteI would say they are vintage--don't see teeny little cross stitch like those anymore. Very cute. Isn't it great going through boxes.
ReplyDeleteThey are adorable...love the Sunbonnet Sue. You should display them :)

ReplyDeleteThose are very charming! Wish I had your talent!! Take care~
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog today. I absolutely LOVE Sunbonnet Sue and have a Sunbonnet Sue quilt from the early 40's. I also made one for my niece when she was born about 23 years ago. Have you seen the quilt patterns with Sunbonnet Sue in all kinds of dastardly situations (don't remember the name of the pattern)? I saw that once at a quilt show and I loved it. PAM
ReplyDeleteIused to do so much cross stitch. My leftovers from a good fifteen years plus back are still waiting for me in a basket in the attic :(
ReplyDeleteMaybe one day. Cute stuff.
If you want the whole set maybe you need to get busy & finish them before your eyes get too old! I had to give up CC, too hard to see anymore!
