Fried Drop Cakes

With one-half cup flour, mix one-half saltspoon cinnamon, one-half level teaspoon soda and one level teaspoon baking powder. Add one cup sour milk, one-fourth cup molasses, one beaten egg and rye meal or graham flour to make a soft dough that will hold in shape when dropped. Drop from a teaspoon into hot deep oil. When they turn over and brown, try with a fork-if it comes out clean, they are done.
